A licensed service provider, in a 24/7 individual supported apartment setting. Providing the teaching of individualized life skill education and programs to increase consumer independence. We utilize effective on-site learning opportunities in a residential environment, our consumers strive to be the best they can be and are assisted in becoming part of their community and give back to the community in which they live. Our facility has space for 7 participants.

Our consumer goals are achieved through a variety of experiences, options and care support such as:
- Assess and focus on consumer strengths
- Personal development
- Anger management
- Appropriate community boundaries
- Decision making skills
- Life skills - domestic, recreational, social skills
- Community Gardens
- Blankies for Babies Fetal Alcohol prevention project
- Develop social skills within the buildings - creative outings and events
Target Population:
- Adult women ages 20 - 25 years at intake.
Specialized services at this location:
- First Step Apartment Living - Each apartment contains a kitchen, bedroom, dining and living room area. The apartment offers opportunity for peer interaction, socializing and support in a structure learning environment
Support includes:
- Domestic Training - Domestic chores are reinforced using safe techniques in cooking, cleaning, and organizational skills. This includes safe use of appliances, such as stove, washing machine, microwave.
- Financial Budget - A computer accounting system to establish a budget to track bills and payment schedules. Working with government financing including SSI, MSA and economic assistance.
- Community Involvement - Consumers are
encouraged to participate in community activities, including but not
limited to:
- Employment
- Volunteer Work
- Community Churches
- Recreation
- Cultural Events
- Sports Activities
- Support consumers in attending
